This album was inspired by a woman I was enamored with in early 2010. She's the type of girl who deserves more than just the average pickup line and more than just the average guy.

The title, "The 18th Letter Diaries" is to emphasize that each song was written about the girl, whose name starts with the letter R (the 18th letter) and each song title starts with the letter R.

I wrote all three songs over the course of a few months. Each song paints a picture of the feelings and emotions I had. From the "I've got a crush on you" type-emotions found in "Redeemer" to the confusion and resignation found in "Retreater" to the unapologetic, put my heart on the line found in "Revealer," each song captures everything that I wanted to say in an eloquent form.

For those of you wondering, I was able to share these songs with her this past summer. If you're curious about what happened, perhaps I'll share that in another installment.
